Since the beginning of winter, the consumption of natural gas has been increasing, and the safety problem cannot be ignored. It is well known that natural gas needs oxygen to support combustion. If the doors and windows of the room are closed tightly, it is easy to make the room oxygen insufficient, and it is impossible to supplement sufficient air in time when using gas, which may lead to incomplete combustion, and may produce toxic gas (such as carbon monoxide), leading to poisoning and suffocation.
For northern cities, natural gas will be used for heating in winter. Because of the low outdoor temperature in winter, many families close doors and windows to keep warm. In fact, this has buried many hidden dangers to natural gas safety, leading to various fire, explosion and poisoning accidents.
Flammable and explosive gases are combustible gases. There are many kinds of combustible gases, such as oil and gas, C2H2, CH4, or ethanol. There is no fixed limit value for combustible gas, and any gas can become combustible gas.
So how can we spend the winter safely?
1. Pay attention to the aging of rubber hose. The length of the gas hose should not exceed 2 meters, and there should be no joints and cracks. In wet and dark kitchens, check the hose frequently for aging and cracking.
2. Pay attention to the service life of the appliance. The service life of natural gas cookers and water heaters is 8 years, and there are potential safety hazards beyond the service life. Residents need to replace gas appliances regularly to ensure that there are no potential safety hazards.
3. Use the gas stove safely. When using an electronic cooker for ignition, make sure the fire is lit before leaving. When using the manual ignition stove, it must be "fire equals gas", not "gas equals fire".
4. It is strictly prohibited to refit gas appliances without authorization. The installation of natural gas facilities and gas appliances shall be carried out by units and personnel with corresponding qualifications. It is strictly prohibited to add, modify or remove gas facilities and appliances without authorization.
5. Do not use gas carelessly. The use of natural gas should be watched by someone to prevent the fire from being extinguished by liquid spillage during use, which may lead to gas leakage.
6. Use the gas detector. Use the gas detector reasonably to find out the gas leakage problem in time.
